Hazy dreams of underwater reading, love affairs with mermaids, and swimming through a pool big enough to swallow your anxieties whole—all found in “Pool Water: The Elixir for Make-Believe Memory.” An exercise in speculative writing, curating, and image manipulation, “Pool Water” was collaboratively produced alongside Madison Scarf and printed by Continuity Press in October of 2023. This 32 page, handmade, wire-bound publication features original writing and illustrations from Madison Scharf and Erin Crawford, as well as excerpted writing and imagery from Rebecca Atwood, Gaston Bachelard, and The Met Archives.
